During the summer of 2016 the Dream Team created a visually stunning stage version of Antonia Barber's classic Cornish children's story The Mousehole Cat. This new adaptation was completed by award-winning playwright Alan M. Kent (author of Surfing Tommies and National Minority) and was directed by Cornish-born director Guy Watson. Using incredible puppetry, as well as a talented team of actors, the drama tells the story of how the West Cornwall village of Mousehole is saved from desperate famine by the brave actions of fisherman Tom Bawcock... and his faithful cat, Mowzer. Audiences were wowed by battles with the fearsome Great Storm-Cat, seven sorts of fish and lashings of stargazy pie! This was one fisherman's yarn nobody wanted to miss me 'andsomes!

We came to see the Mousehole cat at Sterts. The play was fantastically done. You really did justice to what is a beautiful story. The performance was family friendly, witty and laugh out loud and the look on my little girl's face when Mowzer jumped on her knee at the very beginning was priceless.
